The Horai — goddesses of the seasons, of right order, and of the timely.

The Horai, the Seasons or Hours, are the goddesses of the year's turning and of the right and timely order of nature and of society alike. Daughters of Zeus and Themis, they are often named Eunomia (Good Order), Dike (Justice), and Eirene (Peace) — for the orderly procession of the seasons and the good order of the city were felt to be one and the same harmony.

They open the gates of heaven, tend the growth of the crops, and bring each thing to ripeness in its due season — the divine guarantee that the world unfolds in measure and in time.
