The summit of a being

In later Platonism hyparxis is the primal existence of a thing — its sheer “that it is,” the simple presence at its summit, prior to and more unified than its power and its activity. The henads, the divine unities, are each a pure hyparxis, a unity standing closest to the One before any unfolding into being.
