Mythic Figure
Πάρις
Exposed at birth for a dream that he would burn Troy, Paris survived to judge the three goddesses on Ida and choose Aphrodite’s bribe: the most beautiful of women, already married. In the Iliad he is brave enough when shamed and beautiful always — Helen’s scorn and Hector’s exasperation frame him — and his arrow, guided by Apollo, will find Achilles’ heel beyond the poem’s edge.
