Seira

The golden chain

From each henad or god there descends a seira — a chain or series of beings that share its character, reaching down through intellects, souls, and bodies to the stones and plants that bear its stamp. Theurgy climbs these chains: by the kinship of sympathy running through a series, the soul is drawn back up to the god at its head through the right tokens.
